Heh, how cool! When I marvel at the wonders of our planet and its inhabitants, I just can’t understand how anyone can reject a Creator.

Those were some cool ray bans!

    NICE!

Kind of like watching members of Congress try to keep up with their ever changing perception of the opinion du jour.

My 3 yr old granddaughter keeps wanting to “do it again”1

  6. David Fischler says:

That’s really neat. There at the end I thought he had a look on his face that said, “Are you messin’ with me?”

  7. Terry Tee says:

Yes, but I worried – was it stressing out the poor chameleon?

  8. Barrdu says:

(sarcasm)Amazing what an animal can achieve given “billions and billions” of years.(sarcasm)

I enjoy the spot program on radio called “Creation Moment”. I love this passage from Job 12:
7 “But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
    or the birds of the air, and they will tell you;
8 or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish of the sea inform you.
9 Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the LORD has done this?

  9. Spiro says:

The fool has said in his heart: “There is no God.”

The animals, the fishes and all of creation get it, but the supposedly wise, smart, and intelligent humans (including some in purple shirts, and even many more with Ph.Ds. after their name) don’t.

But what do I know – since I am just a product some bang and some random chances.
I forgot we are supposed to shut up and to put away some childish thoughts of God and grow up – we are now in the 21st century and are “knowledgeable” and “educated”.

That’s some good photoshop coloring work going on there.

I quote a guy who used to post on a newsgroup I read, back when I still read Usenet:

Any deity worthy of a graven image can cobble up a working universe complete with fake fossils in under a week – hey, if you’re not omnipotent, there’s no real point in being a god. But to start with a big ball of elementary particles and end up with the duckbill platypus without constant twiddling requires a degree of subtlety and the ability to Think Things Through: exactly the qualities I’m looking for when I’m shopping for a Supreme Being.

On this topic, I concur with Mr. DeRaud.

God is awesome, and his creation is wonderful, and I’m pretty sure the video isn’t real. I mean, the video is real, but the color-changing is a digital manipulation. I think.

  13. David |däˈvēd| says:

Sorry, although I agree with everything said here about creator God, I think you guys have all fallen for some video FX! That is an iguana, not a chameleon.

  14. recchip says:

As a Biologist (Plant Cell concentration) and a former High School Biology teacher, it it obvious to me that the video is “doctored.” A real chameleon (and yes, that was an iguana) can turn from green to brown and some combination (i.e. green front and brown tail). There is no ability to “do patterns” etc. Also, the color change takes a few minutes and is not instantaneous.

    Now, having said all that!!

I am constantly amazed by the wonders of our God’s Creation. (That’s right, I SAID CREATION!!!). I was one of those people who literally drove my professors crazy in that the more Biology I studied, the more convinced I became of a creator. In High School and early college I was basically a “Sunday School Creationist” in that I thought things were created because I had always been taught so. As I got further into my studies, and certainly when I started studying the delicate cell structure of plants, well, nobody could convince me that this stuff just happens.

Today, I was driving along the road (lots of construction) and we were stopped. I looked over and there was a Bluejay going about his business picking up straw for a nest. I immediately thought, wow, God’s creatures are going about their lives and not being upset by all the traffic. Maybe I should take a lesson from their example and just enjoy being in the presence of the Lord.

    The Heavens Declare the Lord!!

  15. Hakkatan says:

That had to be a doctored clip – very nicely done, but chameleons are not that versatile in changing colors.

I think that it is a chameleon. Iguanas have a crest, and can move quickly, but chameleons have those armored eyes and tend to be slow moving.

  16. rugbyplayingpriest says:

Def. a Chameleon. Def. manipulated colours. Def not an iguana which is much longer and sleeker and with a longer neck. Just check out images on Google and see for yourself!

  17. Grant LeMarquand says:

well…I realy wish I could join in the enthusiasm (or the scepticism), but I had no idea what this was all about – until I read #10 (thanks #10) who referred to colour. Being colour blind (technically, since people online get upitty about these things, ‘colour deficient’) it just looked like some guy messing with a lizard. My wife assures me that in the resurrection I will be amazed at what I’ve been missing.

  18. Eastern Anglican says:

Owned an iguana once. He was a big one, would walk on a harness and watch football with me.
Sorry all, that was not an iguana as some have asserted. If nothing else, the feet would give it away as iguanas are not split that way. Nor do their eyes look the same.

But I do agree the video is doctored.

  19. David |däˈvēd| says:

I Goggled and I agree, it is a Chameleon. There are like 160 species spanning Africa to far East Asia. Whereas Iguanas are two species and inhabit Central and South America. However, Chameleons are limited to their particular range of colors, and although this video seems to cover the full range of all Chameleons combined, it is way more than any one can do.

    Definitely FX.

So this critter changes color forthwith to match what is under its belly, but begins as what color while standing on what color?
